What's this about?: ICE Immersion Series is all about the creative process. In this first-of-its-kind, hands-on Immersion Series, participants will collaborate with acclaimed Peruvian novelist, Mario Bellatin, American professor, Susan Antebi and Canadian writer and filmmaker, Daniel Canty. The subject of this inaugural series: Art+Orthopaedics.
How does it work?: The ICE Immersion series begins one month before the full-time five-day experience, when you will receive a rich media package with reference materials, videos, audio recordings and texts. This package will prepare participants for the workshop’s unique discussions and dynamics, igniting the creative process and triggering ideas to foster a stimulating creative experience.
During our five-day immersion workshop, participants will explore different creative outlets to create a piece of work in collaboration with other participants. The group, together with experts in the field, will then decide the most suitable support to publish what will be accomplished during the encounter.
ICE will redefine the way we think of art and creative education and go about the creative process. We bring together diverse artistic disciplines in an environment that fosters the creation of new projects while developing networks and strengthening cultural interactions in Toronto with the rest of the Americas.
